| • As soon
as you have set your wedding date and chosen your
honeymoon destination book as early as possible to avoid
disappointment, especially if you are getting married during
a peak holiday season such as July/August or Christmas
and New Year.
• Ask for Special Honeymoon Offers - complimentary
offers add great value to your honeymoon and help make
it feel extra special for you both. You can enjoy such
things as fruit and flowers in your room on arrival,
candlelit dinners and room upgrades, complimentary
massages or even discounts of up to £1750 for stays of
two weeks in some hotels.
• Vouchers - Why not ask friends and family to give you
holiday vouchers as wedding presents towards the cost of
your travel, so you can really have a honeymoon to
remember. At Global Holidays we can offer your guests
the option to do this -contact us for more information
on how to purchase them.
• Passport name change - if you are going to change your
passport into your married name make sure that all
documents and booking details are all in the same name
and not a mixture of maiden and married name as this
could result in refusal entry into the country. If you
do change your passport make sure you allow plenty of
time to send off all the documents and allow enough time
for it to be sent off.
• Days of flying - some destinations can only be reached
on certain days due to airline schedules so be aware
that you may need to be flexible when organizing your
travel arrangements especially if you want to travel the
day after your wedding. Look for destinations that offer
days of departure to fit into your schedule.
• Take your honeymoon later. Most of the honeymoon
deals offered by hotels and tour operators are generally
still valid for up to 6 months after your wedding. By
deferring your honeymoon until after the peak travel
period you can take advantage of discounts and cheaper
air travel, avoid the crowds and enjoy the best weather.
Just make sure to pack your marriage certificate!
